Hydraulic Ram Pump

How To Build A Hydraulic Ram Pump {click here}

The above link will teach you how to pull water from a pond or a stream without electricity or a physical pump!  A hydraulic ram pump works on gravity and will allow you to have off grid water that can be run to a storage point, be used for irrigation, or used for toilets and sinks!

Keep in mind for toilets and sinks you will need a place to dispose of waste water.  Look for videos on making a homemade septic tank or a real septic tank!

Here is another link with a series of links that will give you data on the volume and distance this type of pump can go:

Here is a video of a Hydraulic Ram Pump In Action:

Remember there is no electric, well pump, or fuel being used to make this pump go!

All you need is a 3 foot drop from a water source!  The more drop from the water source you have the farther you can pump water too!  Gravity does all the work!  The above video is a professionally made hydraulic ram pump.  You can build one of these from parts you can get at a Home Depot or Lowe’s!  Check it out through the link at the top of this page!

Here is another video of a hydraulic ram pump in use!  Both are using this style of pump on a large scale!  One is watering a huge farm and the other is watering a greenhouse nursery!

Here is a video of a home made hydraulic ram pump:

It is very simple to make and requires almost no upkeep!

here is another home made hydraulic ram pump made from a TWO LITER COKE BOTTLE!

In this video you will see a really simple pump that is pumping water from a stream.  They took a garden hose and ran it to a point where the water enters the stream from a higher point.  All you need is to get water to enter the inlet hose and travel at least 3 feet down hill somehow to the hydraulic ram pump.
